Care instructions

ecocan contains coconut fiber granulate, clay granulate and a plant seed packet.

  • Open the container by breaking the two glue tape strips on the side of the lid. Use the lid as a coaster. Open the seed packet and put seeds in a glass with luke warm water. After 24 hours remove seeds from water and plant the seeds about 1 cm below the surface of the granulate.
  • Carefully pour about 60 ml water in the pot. After about 5 minutes, peel off the sticker on the bottom of the can to drain any excess water. Cover the planted seeds with a glass.
  • Place the ecocan in a bright and warm place and water moderately until plants are germinating (approx. 40 ml about every 3 days). Make sure that the granulate doesn‘t dry up – avoid waterlogging!
  • Remove glass daily for 1 hour to give plant air. The orchid tree will begin to grow after 2-4 weeks. Continue to water moderately.
  • It will take at least 4-6 years of growth for the plant to start blooming.
  • After 6 months, remove the sleeve from the can and repot your plant by simply placing the entire ecocan into a flower pot with soil. The can will slowly decompose and turn into a valuable fertilizer for the plant.
